
The National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Comrade Adams
Oshiomhole was in Plateau state over the weekend for the Third Federal Government Progressive Governors Forum. Adams Oshiomhole described the Plateau state governor Simon Lalong as a peace
maker at the a Parly on policy synergy held on Monday 25th November at the banquet hall of the New government house in Plateau state.
The theme of the Parley “strengthening public delivery service” with strategies on Security,Revenue, Universal Basic Education and health.
President Muhammadu Buhari urged Governor’s under the Progressive
Governors Forum to be people oriented and support the fight against
corruption in their various states. The President who was represented by

Chairman of the Governor’s forum and
Governor of Ekiti led other Govenors of the APC under the leadership of
Governor Abubakar Atiku Bakudu, Chairman of Northern Governor’s Forum,Rt
Hon.Barr Simon Bako Lalong,Governor Nasir Elrufai and the Governors of
Edo,Nassarawa,Niger were all in attendance as the deputies of Kogi,gombr
and Jigawa represented their Governor’s. The National Chairman of the
APC Comrade Adams Oshiomhole led the National working committee of the
APC at the parley. Governor Simon Bako Lalong the host Governor Charged
his colleagues to be committed in their vision of providing
accountable,responsible and responsive leadership to the citizens.Comrade Oshiomhole, appealed to APC governors to work hand in hand with the APC and went on to commend Governor Lalong as he has made the party proud by prompt payment of salaries and a prudent management of resources in the
state.

He went on to say Nigeria has no regrets for closing its borders to imports as the policy has revived local industries, thus improving national revenue, Osheomole said, weak local and foreign economic policies in the past turned Nigeria into a “dumping ground” for unwanted products, In his words, “We are not repentant of the closure of our borders until neighboring states realize that Nigeria is not dumping ground for smuggled goods. “Whatever we have to do to get Nigerians patronize local goods should not be regretted.”
