Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has called on Nigerians to celebrate the
Super Eagles, following their 1-1 draw with Cameroon, in a 2018 World
Cup qualifying game on Monday in Yaounde.

President Buhari posted a picture of himself watching the game on TV and
tweeted: “Let’s celebrate our Super Eagles, holding Cameroon to a draw
in Yaoundé. The march to #Russia2018 continues, and they have all our
support!”
The Eagles survived early pressure, before they took the lead through Simon Moses, who lashed in on a loose ball.
Nigeria squandered several chances to double the lead, before goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa fouled Djoum Arnaud inside the area.
The referee pointed to the spot and Vincent Aboubacar kept his nerves to make it 1-1 with 15 minutes left.
The result sees the Eagles remain top of Group with 10 points, while
Zambia who play Algeria on Tuesday are second with four points.
