Plateau United Football Club on Saturday 9th September at the Jos Township Stadium were crowned champions after defeating last season’s champions, Enugu Rangers by 2-0 at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium.
Governor Simon Bako Lalong of Plateau State was at the stadium to lead team in the celebration and later went on to have a classic pose with the first ever Nigerian Professional Football League Title won by the state team
