Fresh controversy has erupted between Nollywood actress Regina Daniels and her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, after the actress’s brother, Sweezy, accused the politician of hypocrisy and family intimidation.
In an Instagram Story shared shortly before his alleged arrest, Sweezy made shocking claims about Nwoko’s late son, alleging that he died in the United Kingdom from excessive drug intake.
“Accusing my siblings of drugs. What killed your son in the UK? Died of heart failure and seizure due to excessive intake of drugs! Yet nobody heard shit,” Sweezy wrote. “You better bring down all this nonsense because the media will hear more than what they shouldn’t hear! You stand on integrity abi?”
Sweezy’s outburst came amid growing tensions between the Daniels family and the senator. He alleged that Nwoko had ordered his arrest following ongoing marital and domestic disputes involving Regina.
The family’s matriarch, Rita Daniels, also weighed in through a viral video, accusing the Delta-born lawmaker of betrayal and pride. She claimed that her daughter once supported his senatorial campaign with $50,000, only for the family to now face humiliation.
“You wanted someone with a high star to boost your fallen star. If you think you can bite the finger that fed you, you’ll go down,” Rita Daniels said. “My daughter supported your senatorial election with $50,000. We covered you and made you feel like an Odogwu — you’re mad.”
The situation has since sparked heated reactions online, with supporters of both sides trading accusations.
As of press time, Senator Ned Nwoko has not publicly responded to the allegations.
