Students of the university of Jos smile about the downward review of their school charges which was hiked from N27,000 to N45,000 about a month ago. For these course, the student Union government led by Sidney S Daman was suspended after leading various protest against the increment.
The result of that also led to a caretaker committee being inaugurated which was chaired by the speaker of the students parliament.
Today a downward review was considerd. In a statement signed by the registrar it stated that; all 100level and 200level students for 2016/2017 session are to pay the sum of N45,000 graduation while 300 level and above are to pay #37,400 until graduation. But these is subject to further circular from the federal government. We just hope these serves as a stepping stone to the betterment and the acknowledgement of the Nigerian students welfare on campus.
