JIGOLO, MY MOST LOYAL AND TRUSTED FRIEND IS NOW DONE STRUGGLE.
With a heavy heart and deep sense of lost, I write to say goodbye to my
son, my brother, my friend and my most trusted ally, Awal Mohammad Adams
Yam (JIGOLO) who died as a result of a ghastly motorcycle crash in the
early hours of today.
We had a meeting of my staff in Dengi by 10pm last night, where the late
Jigolo apologized on behalf of the staff, even though he personally did
nothing wrong.
I called his line around 1:28am to tell him to ask the security guard to
off the generator, but there was no response from his side, hence he
was celebrating new year with his youths friends.
At about 3am today, it was the news of his death! This is one blow too
many for me to bear, but I am trusting God for His divine comfort. He
alone rules over the affairs of men and decides when and how we shall
all return to Him.
Jigolo was a man of many parts who would be greatly missed by different
constituencies because of his down to earth involvement in youth and
students activism. In fact, that was how he came about the phrase
“Jigolo has gone struggle”.
He was an active member of Plateau Youth Council, Kanam Youth Council,
National Association of Nigerian Students, National Association of
Plateau State Students amongst many other youth related groups.
He was a very jovial and easy going fellow, who easily acclimatized with any environment he found himself.
I have lost SHAMIKI AND SHAMIKI IS DONE STRUGGLE INSHAALLAH????????????????????!
I have lost a friend, a brother and a very close confidant, whose vacuum in my life cannot be easily filled.
I pray Almighty God to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Janatul Firdaus as his final resting abode, Amen!
