PHOTOS: Nigerians in London Protests against herdsmen attacks

Following the recent attacks by Fulani Herdsmen in parts of Nigeria most especially middle-belt Nigeria, The Benue People’s Congress led other Nigerians today 22nd
January 2017 to stage a protest in London, condemning the carnage by
Fulani herdsmen and the attendant silence of the Federal Government of
Nigeria.

The procession which started at the Nigerian High Commission at 9 Northumberland Avenue,
Westminster London, the group camped outside the High Commission to
register their displeasure at the complicit silence of the Nigerian
Authorities.

They then proceeded to 10 Downing Street, the UK seat of power and
delivered a petition to the office of the Prime Minister – Mrs Theresa
May.

The group held several inscriptions and banners condemning the
killings of innocent civilians by herdsmen and the in-action of
Government authorities.

Lending the Plateau voice were several principals of the Plateau
State Association, including the President – Mrs Josephine Ibrahim,
Treasurer – Mr Alvin Plems Kyentu, PRO – Dr Chinan Mclean and other
members including Mr Wapshak Nastu, Mr Aaron Fom and a host others.

Representatives from Kaduna, Taraba and other southern states also attended the protest.
