The house of representative Ad-hoc committee on digital switch-over led by the Chairman, Hon Sunday Kutung on Friday 7 July 2017 was on a courtesy visit to the Plateau State Governor, Rt Hon Simon Lalong at the new Government House Rayfield, Jos.
The Chairman stated that they are in Jos for an oversight function to ensure all communities within the state are fully covered by the digitization process and to also ensure that when the process of digital switch – over begins in a state, all the communities should be fully covered before moving to another state.
Responding to the committee, Governor Simon Bako Lalong thanked them for coming and assured the committee of his total support for the process and promised to improve on the facilities at the plateau Radio Television corporation (PRTV) and the NTA Jos, to maintain its history as the first color television in Nigeria
