Obedient General Takes Tinubu Re-Election Campaign to Nasarawa University, Mobilises Students for 2027

The Team Obedient General Worldwide has taken its grassroots mobilisation campaign for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the Nasarawa State University, Keffi, urging students to support and vote for the President in the 2027 presidential election.

The mobilisation was organised under the theme, “Grassroots Rising: Awareness Across States,” with the City Boy Movement, Obedient General Worldwide Team and Renewed Hope Youth Engagement (RHYE) listed among the supporting groups.

The Convener of Team Obedient General Worldwide, Hon. Ikenna Azomchine, popularly known as the “Obedient General,” led the engagement, which focused on sensitising students and canvassing support for President Tinubu’s second-term bid.

Addressing the students, Azomchine and members of the support team called on the student community to come out in large numbers during the 2027 election and use their voting strength to support the President.

The organisers described Nigerian students and young people as an important constituency in the electoral process, urging them not only to vote but also to educate and mobilise others ahead of the election.

Azomchine said the group’s decision to support President Tinubu followed its assessment of the administration’s reforms and programmes, which he argued deserved continuity.

“We decided to leave Peter Obi to support the President,” he said, while urging students to join the campaign for Tinubu’s re-election.

The speakers also highlighted the administration’s youth-focused initiatives, particularly the student loan programme, describing it as an investment in the future of Nigerian youths.

According to the group, the programme has created opportunities for students from less privileged backgrounds to access tertiary education and should therefore be sustained.

They urged the students to support, vote and canvass for President Tinubu, while encouraging them to take the message of the administration’s programmes to their colleagues who were not present at the engagement.

“We support, we vote, we canvass, we educate others,” one of the speakers told the students.

The organisers further appealed to the student community to participate actively in the 2027 electoral process, stressing that young Nigerians have a significant role to play in determining the country’s leadership.

The Nasarawa State University engagement forms part of the wider grassroots mobilisation campaign by Team Obedient General Worldwide, which has been taking its pro-Tinubu message to communities, youth groups and tertiary institutions across different parts of the country.

The group had earlier launched its mobilisation initiative in Jos, Plateau State, where Azomchine declared support for President Tinubu and announced plans to build grassroots structures across the North-Central region and other parts of Nigeria ahead of the 2027 elections.
