NPFL: Pillars, Enyimba In Battle Of Giants; Heartland Welcome Wikki

Former champions Kano Pillars and Enyimba will clash at the Sani
Abacha Stadium on Sunday in what is the standout fixture in the Nigeria
Professional Football League this weekend.

Both teams have enjoyed a good start to the season and have each lost once in the NPFL this season.

They are also unbeaten in their last five games in NPFL.

Pillars are third in the table with 15 points, while Enyimba lie in fifth with 13 points.

In Owerri, Heartland will hope to return to winning ways when they host Wikki Tourists at the Dan Anyiam Stadium.

The Naze Millionaires lost 2-0 against Eastern rivals FC Ifeanyiubah last weekend.

FC IfeanyiUbah who ended their four game losing streak last weekend
will be up against Katsina United at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium.

In another match day nine fixture, Nasarawa United who have had a
below-par showing this term will entertain Kwara United at the Lafia
City Stadium.

Kwara United have found the going a bit tough on their return to the top flight and have lost all their four away fixtures.

At the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Port Harcourt, Rivers United and Niger
Tornadoes will battle for maximum points, while 19th-placed Abia
Warriors will keep a date with Yobe Desert Stars in Umuahia.

In the last fixture for the weekend, bottom club El-Kanemi Warriors
will hope for a change in fortunes when they tackle Go Round FC at their
fortress in Maiduguri.
