A young man identified as Hassan Abdullahi, has reportedly died in
police custody in Zamfara state.
According to reports, the
police carried out a raid in an area known as Gummi, and arrested
Abdullahi sometime last week. He was in their custody for 24 hours
before he was rushed to the general hospital in the state where he was
certified dead.
His family members and Human rights organizations in the state are
calling for an inquiry to be set up to determine the cause of his death.
