Belgian forward Leandro Trossard has completed a permanent transfer from Arsenal to Turkish club Besiktas, bringing an end to his three-and-a-half-year spell with the Premier League side.
The 31-year-old joined Arsenal from Brighton & Hove Albion in January 2023 and went on to establish himself as a key member of Mikel Arteta’s squad.

Besiktas confirmed that Trossard has signed a three-year contract, with the option of a further 12-month extension. The deal is reportedly worth €18 million, with an additional €2 million in performance-related bonuses.
In a farewell message published on the club’s official website, Arsenal thanked the Belgian international for his contribution during his time at the Emirates Stadium.
“Everyone at Arsenal would like to thank Leo for his valued contribution to the club and wish him all the best for his future,” the club said.
Trossard made 174 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners, scoring 36 goals and registering 34 assists. He also played an important role in Arsenal’s Premier League title-winning campaign last season.
On the international stage, the winger has earned 57 caps for Belgium. He featured in all six of his country’s matches at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, scoring twice as Belgium reached the quarter-finals before being eliminated by Spain.
The move marks a new chapter in Trossard’s career as Besiktas strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
