The Federal Government has released emergency contact centre numbers across the country and urged Nigerians to dial 112 whenever they require urgent medical assistance.
The National Emergency Medical Service and Ambulance System (NEMSAS) announced the numbers in an update on Wednesday, describing 112 as a central point of contact for emergency medical services.
NEMSAS said some states also have dedicated emergency lines to facilitate faster responses to medical emergencies.
According to the agency, trained first responders are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, providing professional emergency care, rapid response and lifesaving services.
The Federal Capital Territory and 35 states have emergency call centre numbers, with most states using 112 alongside additional dedicated lines.
