Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri has said that youngster, Callum
Hudson-Odoi would start for Chelsea in the Community Shield against
Manchester City on Sunday.
Sarri also revealed what his lineup against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City would look like.
The 17-year-old Hudson-Odoi is viewed as one of the most promising youngsters to come through Chelsea’s academy in years.
The teenager started in the Blues’ penalty shootout defeat to Arsenal
in Dublin and caused Gunners’ defender Hector Bellerin problems all
through the game from the left-wing, with the Blues missing a number of
their big names.
And Sarri has revealed that Hudson-Odoi could be in line to start on
Sunday afternoon with stars such as Eden Hazard, Willian, and Olivier
Giroud still missing.
When asked about the youngster, the Italian manager said, “He will be a very, very strong player.
“Will he be in the first team squad? I think so. He will be staying with us for all the season.
“The starting XI today is very near to the starting XI in the Community Shield.”
