
President Muhammadu Buhari, Thursday met with six State Governors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The Governors who met with the President include, Udom Emmanuel of
Akwa Ibom State (PDP), Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State (PDP), Simon Lalong
of Plateau State (APC), Abdulaziz Yari of Kebbi State (APC), Atiku
Bagudu of Kebbi State (APC) and Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State
(APC).
The meeting started shortly after security Chiefs finished their meeting with the President that lasted several hours.
Buhari’s Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad confirmed the meeting on his Twitter handle.
He wrote, “After presiding over a Security Meeting earlier, President
@MBuhari is now holding a meeting with some members of the Nigerian
Governors’ Forum (NGF) led by its Chairman, Gov. Abdulaziz Yari of
Zamfara State.”
Recall that some Northern governors had recentlyendorsed Buhari for a second term after a meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
