Spokesman to former military Head of State, Ibrahim Babangida, Kassim
Afegbua, has been asked to return to the Department of State Services,
DSS on Friday.
Afegbua who arrived the DSS headquarters at
about 12: 46pm on Wednesday was not questioned because the
Director-General of the Department of State Services, DSS was away from
the office.
Recall that the secret police had invited Afegbua for
a chat with its Director General, Lawal Daura, following the
controversial statement he released against President Muhammadu Buhari.
But he said he was not informed about the specifics of the
invitation, saying the DSS operatives merely told him and his lawyers
that the invitation was for “a friendly chat.”
He, has disclosed further that he would return to the DSS with his
lawyer on Friday morning before 11:00 a.m. as directed by operatives
after their Thursday meeting.
Afegbua said, “We were asked to come again Friday morning.
We were waiting there until 6:00 p.m when we were asked to go.”
