Leaders of the Turaki-led faction of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) have held an emergency meeting with key figures from the African Democratic Congress (ADC), fueling speculations of a possible political alliance ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The meeting, which took place at the residence of David Mark, brought together prominent stakeholders, including Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, and Peter Obi, among others.

Sources indicate that discussions at the meeting centred on forming a united opposition front capable of challenging the ruling party in 2027.

The development comes amid ongoing internal divisions within the PDP, as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) continues to recognise the faction aligned with Nyesom Wike as the legitimate leadership of the party.

While details of the meeting remain undisclosed, the engagement has intensified talks of a strategic coalition between the PDP faction and ADC as political realignments begin to take shape ahead of the next general elections.
