According to DAILY NIGERIAN, the attackers stormed the village in the early hours of Thursday and began shooting sporadically, ransacking houses.
Although police said only six people died in the attack, reliable sources in the village said 13 people lost their lives.

incident to DAILY NIGERIAN, saying only six people killed in the
attack.
“Based on our report, six people died in the attack, while 10 others sustained various degrees of injuries.

“When police got the information, we immediately bolted into
action alongside Nigerian Army. We are combing the forest to track down
the attackers.
“We are also patrolling the village now, and nomalcy has since returned,” Mr Shehu, a deputy superintendent of police, said.
On July 30, the presidency announced the deployment of 1,000-strong
military force, comprising the army, air force, police and the civil
defence, to launch attacks on the bandits terrorising the villages and
towns of Zamfara State.
The troubled state enjoyed relative peace since the deployment of troops and fighter jets to crush the bandits.
