The Students Union Government (SUG) President, Comr. Ibrahim Mallam and his officials at Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, Bauchi State, eulogise the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and the Speaker, House of Representatives Rt. Hon Yakubu Dogara for initiating the North East Development Commission (NEDC) Bill which President Buhari signed into law.
In an interview with News Punch, the SUG President, Comr. Ibrahim Mallam, who is studying Crime Management and Control at the institution thank Saraki and Dogara for initiating such bill which will surely make significant impact once the North East Development Commission offices are established across the region inline with the NEDC Act. He said the NEDC would bring development to the North East region and will create jobs for people from the region and beyond.
Some officials of SUG at the same institution: the Vice President, Sulaiman Dahiru; Assit.Secretary General, Akaba .S.Yusuf; Financial Secretary, Abubakar L. Husseini and the PRO, Ibrahim Muhammad all expressed their delight for the NEDC Act and hoped the main purpose of NEDC will be achieved so that North East will experience development like the NDDC is doing in the Niger Delta Region.
