The member of the House of Representatives for Vandeikya/konshisha Federal Constituency of Benue State, Rt. Hon. Mrs. Dorothy Mato says those in positions of authority as well as whoever is blessed should take the welfare of the people and overall development of communities as a duty ordained by God who placed them in such positions.
The Media Coordinator of Hon Mato, Mr Daniel Ingbar reports that Hon. Mrs. Mato made this known during a Thanksgiving for her and fund raising for the roofing of St Francis, Catholic Church, Adeiyongu, Vandeikya LGA of Benue State organized for her on Sunday, 9th September, 2018.
According to him, the lawmaker said, poverty in the land occasioned by poor sales of farm products in the absence of salaries of workers have made life difficult.
Rep Mato stated that many people ignore making impact on their communities after securing the mandate to represent them.
Speaking in the rain which disrupted the event, the lawmaker said God wanted the rain to affect visitors to feel what the congregation is going through. She called for collaborative efforts to help roof and complete the church and donated .5 million.
