Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong has called on citizens in the state to resist evil forces and be determined to promote peace on all fronts. The governor made the statement through the a press release by the commissioner of information. Read Below

“We must resist evil forces determined to reverse the peace process”. Lalong
The Governor of Plateau State, Rt Hon. Simon Lalong has alerted citizens of the state that the peace and stability of the state was being threatened by ”evil forces determined to take the state back to the gory moments of the past”
The Governor stated this in a broadcast to people of the state.
It will be recalled that armed men recently attacked some communities in Bassa and Bokkos LGAs leading to the destruction of lives and properties.
“As a responsible government that shares in the plight of its citizens, we condemn in strongest possible terms the resurgence of violent attacks in some of our communities ” the Governor said, and commiserated with the families of those who had lost their dear ones.
He assured that his administration will give necessary support to those who sustained varying degrees of injuries to overcome their losses and their hurts, and prayed for the repose of the souls of those who lost their lives in the renewed violence.
Governor Lalong also prayed God to assuage the anguish of those who lost their loved ones. He further assured of the unwavering commitment of his administration to deliver on the promise of peace and security as contained in the Government ‘S Five Policy Thrust.Yakubu Dati
