PLACCIMA Trade Fair Committee meets Hon. Dayyabu Y. Garba, Comm. Local Govt & Chieftaincy Affairs

Plateau Chambers of Commerce,
Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PLACCIMA) in collaboration with ANISTA
Marketing and Events Limited are geared to present an exhibition
covering all aspects of businesses, economic and tourism activities in
Nigeria at the Jos Trade Fair 2016.

In a meeting on Tuesday 6th September at the office of Hon. Dayyabu Y. Garba, Commissioner Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, the Vice President and Chairman of
the 2016 Jos Trade Fair, Chief Simon Tangni stressed the commitment of
Plateau Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture(PLACCIMA)
to contribute their quota in improving commercial activities, encourage
entrepreneurship and industrialization by re-introducing the Jos Trade
Fair after 4 years of not organizing it in the State. Also stressing that PLACCIMA is the 2nd largest Chamber in Nigeria after Lagos State. He said that they were Ready for the successful hosting of the 2016 edition of Jos Trade Fair thereby advocating the support and participation of the Commission forLocal Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

Hon. Dayyabu Y Garba in his response said the Rt. Honorable Barr Simon Lalong led government is passionate about developing commercial activities on the plateau and has ensured the participation of the state at other Trade Fairs outside the state to support Plateau state days at such Fairs.

This effort is in accordance with the 5 point agenda of the executive governor of Plateau state, Rt Honorable Simon Bako Lalong.

The commissioner said, the Jos Trade Fair is for Plateau as such Government will play its role in mobilizing Local Governments and other States for participation at the Jos Trade Fair 2016. He also noted that the success of the trade fair which is a major commercial activity will further emphasize the return of Peace within the State and send a good massage for Investors; Further stressing that Supporting Commercial activities is a catalyst for Peace building.

Finally He assured the PLACCIMA Trade Fair Committee that government will ensure a collective effort for the successful hosting of the event.
