The family of late Nollywood actor Francis Duru has announced plans for his burial, outlining dates and venues for the funeral activities.
The announcement was made in an online statement on Monday, November 2, 2026, jointly signed by the actor’s sister, Anthonia Chenyi, and his first son, Ebuka Duru.
According to the statement, a service of songs will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at Family Worship Centre, located on Idris Gidado Street, Wuye, Abuja.
A second service will take place on Thursday, December 10, at the family compound of the late Pa Theophilus Ogide Duru in Okai, Eziama, Isiala Mbano, Imo State.
The actor will be laid to rest on Friday, December 11, 2026, in Okai, Imo State.
Francis Duru died on October 22, 2026, at the age of 59, following a prolonged illness. The family, however, did not disclose the nature of the illness.
The veteran actor was known for his contributions to the Nigerian movie industry and his memorable performances in several Nollywood productions.
