The Former Governor of Benue and serving Senator distinguished Sen George Akume, Paid a condolence visit on the Executive Governor of Plateau State on the Friday the 6th of July, over the recent attacks in Gashish Districts and other parts of the Northern Senatorial districts of the state which led to the loss of over 200 lives.
The Senator commiserated with the entire peace loving people of the state and called on all to rally round the governor as he joins hands with the federal government to put an end to the repeated attacks by marauding herdsmen which he said are not only limited to plateau.
He said” this is the time for plateau to stand united and not to allow any political or ethnic difference make citizens loose sight of the common collective battle it must fight for the restoration peace” On the entourage of the Senator were the Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Terkimbi Ikyange, Majority leader, Rt Hon Barr Adanyi, APC State Chairman Comrade Abba Yaro.
