Today, 31st of October was set aside to celebrate Plateau state at the ongoing 2017 Jos Trade Fair. Plateau state is made up if 17 Local government areas which is divided into three geopolitical zones.
The special guest of honour for the ceremony was The Governor of
Plateau state, Barr. Simon Bako Lalong who was ably represented by the
honorable commissioner for special duties, Hon. Dr. Hitler Daddy. In his
speech, the governor expressed his pleasure towards the success of the
Trade fair thus far and promised that the Government will continue to do
it’s best in supporting any venture that will promote the state.
The CEO of ANISTA Marketing and events, Ms. Bolcit Barshep
who was also present said in her speech that Plateau state is usually
represented at Trade fairs held by other Northern states like Bauchi,
Niger, etc but so far, there have been no representative from any of
them. She urged the commissioner for commerce and industry to intervene
in reaching these people and ensure their participation in subsequent
Trade Fairs.
The occasion was well attended by the
former Deputy Governor of Plateau state Amb. Ignatius Longjang, The head
of Service, Plateau state, the acting Chief judge of the state,
Commissioner for commerce and industry, Hon. Ezekiel Daju, PLASSIMA top
officials, elder statesmen, Management committee chairmen of the different local governments and illustrious sons and daughters of Plateau state.
