An old video of Bola Ahmed Tinubu leading a protest against the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has resurfaced online, drawing renewed attention amid rising political tensions.

In the clip, Tinubu is seen strongly criticising INEC, accusing the electoral body of corruption, election rigging, and failing to reflect the will of Nigerians.

The resurfaced footage comes as members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), alongside other political actors, staged a protest at INEC’s office in Abuja, alleging that the commission is acting in a partisan manner.

Prominent figures who participated in the protest include Peter Obi, Rabiu Kwankwaso, Atiku Abubakar, Rauf Aregbesola, Dino Melaye, and Aisha Yesufu, among others.

The demonstration, tagged “Save Democracy” protest, saw participants dressed in “Operation Save Our Democracy” T-shirts and carrying placards with various messages, including calls for the removal of INEC chairman Joash Amupitan.

The protest follows INEC’s recent decision to withdraw recognition of the ADC faction led by David Mark, a development that has triggered widespread reactions and intensified political discourse across the country.

Observers say the resurfaced video has further fueled debate over the role and credibility of INEC, especially as political alignments and opposition activities begin to gather momentum ahead of future elections.
