Popular Japanese content creator Zepa has died at the age of 26, according to a statement shared on her official X account.
“Zepa has passed away unexpectedly,” read the translated announcement posted on April 5.
“On behalf of the deceased, I deeply apologize for the abrupt news of their passing. The funeral was held privately with only family members in attendance. We sincerely thank you for the kindness and support extended to the deceased during their lifetime,” the statement added.
Zepa was widely known for her comedy and lifestyle content, which earned her a strong following online.
The late influencer had also been open about her struggles with alcohol use, often sharing posts about her intake and efforts to cut back. Her last update, posted on March 31, referenced dealing with alcohol dependency.
