NPFL: Champions Plateau United slip as Rangers win Oriental Derby – Match Day 3

Abia Warriors claimed a 1-0
victory over Plateau United in the weekend and Lobi Stars have gone top of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), after a narrow 1-0 win over Go Round FC.

The result leaves the Pride of Benue unbeaten in the league and at the top of the table with seven points.

Enyimba lost 2-0 at Katsina United. Martins Usule scored the opener,
before Usman Barau sealed the result in the second half, at the
Muhammadu Dikko Stadium.

Wikki Tourists beat Niger Tornadoes and FC Ifeanyi Ubah defeated Kwara United
2-0.

Enugu Rangers recorded their first win of this season, with a 1-0 away victory at Heartland in the Oriental Derby.

The Flying Antelopes had lost their first two games to Akwa United
and Lobi Stars. But Bright Silas’ first-half goal proved decisive, as
they climbed up to 17th place.

In the other games, Akwa United beat Yobe Desert Stars 2-0, Sunshine
Stars lost 2-0 at Nasarawa United and former champions Kano Pillars were
beaten 2-1 by Rivers United.

El-Kanemi Warriors defeated MFM FC 3-1.
