Nigeria’s non-oil exports rose to $3.225 billion in the first half of 2025, marking a 19.59% increase from the $2.696 billion recorded in the same period of 2024, according to the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC).

Executive Director/CEO Nonye Ayeni disclosed this in Abuja on Sunday while presenting the council’s half-year progress report. She said shipment volumes also increased to 4.04 million metric tonnes from 3.83 million metric tonnes in H1 2024, driven by strong demand from markets such as India, Brazil, Vietnam, and other African nations.

Ayeni noted that in Q1 2025 alone, non-oil exports were valued at $1.791 billion — a 24.75% rise from $1.436 billion in Q1 2024 — with shipment volumes up by 24.3% to 2.416 million metric tonnes.
