Santos forward Neymar has expressed his disappointment after Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti omitted him from the squad for this month’s international friendlies against France and Croatia.
Ancelotti, who announced the squad on Monday, explained that Neymar is not yet fully fit to participate.
Speaking to the media at an event in Sao Paulo, Neymar admitted he was saddened by the decision but vowed to stay focused. “I’m upset, sad, about not being called up. But the focus remains day after day, training after training, game after game,” he said.
The star forward added, “We are going to achieve our goal. There is still one final call-up left, and the dream lives on. That is it, we are in this together.”
