The National Orthopaedic Hospital, Jos has commenced full physiotherapy services as part of efforts to improve patient care and support recovery for those with physical and movement-related conditions.
This was made known in a statement signed by the hospital’s Information Officer, Meshak Rinret, on Wednesday, August 6, marking a major step in the hospital’s drive to deliver holistic and patient-centered orthopaedic and rehabilitative services.
According to the statement, the Physiotherapy Outpatient Clinic will run every Thursday and Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., providing care for musculoskeletal conditions, post-operative rehabilitation, neurological disorders, and other mobility challenges. The services are to be delivered by licensed physiotherapists, who will offer individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
The hospital management called on members of the public, medical professionals, and partner institutions to take advantage of the new service, noting that both referrals and walk-in consultations are welcome.
The addition of physiotherapy services reinforces the hospital’s commitment to expanding access to specialized healthcare and improving outcomes for patients in Plateau State and beyond.
