Reality TV star Kim Kardashian has been awarded a symbolic €1 ($1.15) in damages by a Paris court over the armed robbery she suffered in 2016.
Kardashian was staying at a Paris hotel during Fashion Week in October 2016 when masked men posing as police officers entered her room, tied her up at gunpoint and stole jewellery worth more than $6 million.
The court awarded Kardashian the €1 compensation she had requested, with her lawyers indicating that the claim was intended to seek recognition and accountability rather than financial restitution.
In a joint statement, Kardashian and her friend and stylist Simone Harouche, who was also present during the incident and received the same symbolic amount, expressed gratitude to the French justice system.
The court also awarded €109,516 to a former hotel receptionist who said he suffered trauma from the robbery, while the hotel received €50,000.
Eight people were convicted over the robbery in 2025, while most of the stolen jewellery remains unrecovered.
