Troops of Sector 2, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have rescued 10 civilians who were kidnapped by armed terrorists in Katsina State.
The victims were reportedly abducted from Unguwan Daudu and Unguwan Chibauna communities in Funtua Local Government Area.
Following actionable intelligence, troops deployed around the Sabuwa axis moved to intercept the terrorists as they fled with the victims.

The sustained military pursuit reportedly forced the attackers to abandon the captives and flee into the surrounding area.
The rescued victims comprised three adult males, six females and an infant. They were subsequently moved to safety.

The victims are expected to be handed over to the Sabuwa Local Government authorities for medical evaluation and eventual reunification with their families.
The operation forms part of ongoing efforts by Operation FANSAN YAMMA to disrupt terrorist activities and rescue civilians abducted across the North-West.
