Senator I. D. Gyang has condemned the recent killings in Angwan Rukuba, Jos, describing the incident as a barbaric act and a grave assault on human life.
Reacting to the attack which occurred on Palm Sunday, the lawmaker expressed deep sorrow and outrage over the killing of innocent residents, noting that the violence took place on a day meant for peace, reflection, and spiritual devotion.
Gyang extended his condolences to the families of the victims and the affected community, while offering prayers for the repose of the deceased and the recovery of those injured.
He strongly condemned the attack, stating that such acts of violence have no place in society and must be met with firm action by security agencies.
The senator called for the immediate arrest and prosecution of those responsible, emphasizing the need for justice to serve as a deterrent against future attacks.
He also urged residents to remain united and not allow fear or division to take root, stressing the importance of promoting peace, tolerance, and coexistence.
Gyang reaffirmed the need for collective efforts to uphold shared values and ensure lasting peace in Plateau State.
