American Christian missionary Alex Barbir has criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu following the killing of at least ten people on Sunday night, March 29, by suspected terrorists in Anguwan Rukuba, Jos North of Plateau State.
According to reports, the attackers, said to be heavily armed and riding on multiple motorcycles, stormed the community and opened fire indiscriminately. Several houses were also set ablaze during the attack.
In the aftermath, the state government declared a state of emergency in the affected local government area.
Reacting in a video circulating on social media, Barbir accused President Tinubu of failing to take decisive action to curb the persistent insecurity in the region.
“They just murdered over ten people, innocent Christians on Palm Sunday… Tinubu, where are you as your people are slaughtered in the night? You stay in Aso Rock doing absolutely nothing,” he said.
He further questioned when the recurring violence would end and urged the government to respond to the concerns of Nigerians.
