Gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey has received a brand-new car as a surprise birthday gift from his friend and pastor, Jerry Eze, as he celebrated his 45th birthday.
Bassey revealed the surprise on social media on Friday, saying he was left speechless by the gesture, which Eze reportedly arranged secretly in collaboration with his wife.
The singer said he had planned to spend his birthday quietly, giving thanks to God, before discovering the surprise gift.
According to Bassey, his wife had initially suggested a particular car to Eze, but the pastor rejected the choice and insisted on getting a better vehicle.
He reportedly told her that his “brother” could not drive the car she had selected.
The singer expressed deep appreciation for the gesture, describing Eze as an exceptionally generous person who goes out of his way to make people happy.
Bassey also revealed that the pastor was planning similar surprises for other people.
“Pastor Jerry, not only has he done this for me. I know of a couple of other ones like this he is currently planning. The man gives like his life depends on it,” Bassey wrote.

The gospel singer stressed that the gift had not changed his feelings towards Eze, saying he would have continued to love and appreciate the pastor even without the expensive surprise.
He, however, said the gesture brought immense joy to him and his family and expressed gratitude for Eze’s thoughtfulness and generosity.
Bassey publicly thanked the pastor and encouraged his followers to join him in appreciating Eze for the gesture.
A post circulating on social media also claimed that Eze gifted Bassey a brand-new Range Rover to mark his 45th birthday.
