Alamara Djabi, a midfielder for FC Midtjylland, is in stable condition after undergoing lifesaving surgery following a stabbing incident in Denmark.

The 19-year-old was seriously injured in an attack in Herning in the early hours of Sunday, April 19. He reportedly underwent two operations and was initially placed in an induced coma but has since regained consciousness.

In a statement, FC Midtjylland confirmed that Djabi is recovering and receiving medical care, adding that the club is cooperating with authorities and providing support to the player and his family.

The club also urged the public to respect his privacy, noting that further details cannot be disclosed due to an ongoing police investigation.

Danish police said they are searching for a suspect described as a 20-year-old man in connection with the attack.

Djabi, who joined the Danish side last summer, has featured in Europa League qualifying matches this season and has been included in matchday squads during the club’s campaign, facing teams such as Celtic, AS Roma, KRC Genk, and Dinamo Zagreb.

He began his professional career with Portuguese club CD Mafra before moving to Denmark.
