A Brazilian beauty queen, Maiara Cristina de Lima Fiel, has died at the age of 31 after suffering a sudden heart attack.
According to reports, Maiara experienced a medical emergency just days before she was scheduled to compete in an upcoming beauty pageant. Paramedics reportedly spent over an hour attempting to revive her, but she did not survive.
The married mother was said to have had no prior history of health issues before the incident.
Maiara had been crowned Miss Londrina in a regional pageant and was also runner-up in the 2025/2026 edition of Miss Sarandi.
Reacting to her passing, pageant organiser Vitor Tavares described her as a dedicated and passionate contestant. In an emotional message, he said she had already completed preparations for the competition, including rehearsals and interviews, and was looking forward to the event.
He expressed shock at the news, noting that they had spoken shortly before her death, and extended condolences to her family and loved ones.
Her sudden passing has drawn tributes from many, with friends and associates remembering her as a vibrant young woman with a promising future.
