The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday commenced proceedings to forfeit a Maitama, Abuja residence belonging to former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami (SAN).
Operatives of the anti-graft agency, led by Folarin Dare, reportedly stormed the property in a convoy of at least five buses, accompanied by heavily armed personnel.
Eyewitness accounts indicate that the road leading to the residence was barricaded, restricting movement in the area.
The property, located at No. 2 Koranakh Close, off Amazon Street in Maitama, Abuja, was sealed off, with access to the premises completely blocked by EFCC operatives.
The action is believed to be linked to an ongoing investigation into alleged financial improprieties involving the former AGF.
