Man on call
FCT High court in Abuja, has ordered MTN Nigeria to pay a lawyer,
Ezuku Emmanuel Anenih the sum of N5 million for illegal deductions for
unsolicited caller tunes,
Recall that the lawyer had on October 2014 sued MTN
Telecommunication Service Provider for deducting money from his accout
illegal for unsolicited caller tunes.
Mr. Emmanuel had complained to MTN about the illegal deductions
which MTN evidently acknowledged and subsequently sent him N700 as a
compensation.
Mr Emmanuel dragged MTN to court in which the Chief Judge of the
FCT, Justice Ishaq Bello ordered MTN to pay Mr. Emmanuel N5m for
damages. He was also awarded N500,000 cost for the case by the judge.
