Chelsea Football Club have parted ways with head coach Liam Rosenior following a string of disappointing results, including a 3–0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion on Tuesday night.
In a statement, the club acknowledged that recent performances under Rosenior fell below expectations but expressed appreciation for his professionalism and integrity since taking charge midway through the season.
Chelsea confirmed the appointment of Calum McFarlane as Interim Head Coach until the end of the campaign, noting that he will be supported by the club’s existing backroom staff.
The club emphasized that securing European qualification and progressing in the FA Cup remain top priorities for the remainder of the season.
Chelsea also stressed that the decision to part ways with Rosenior was not taken lightly, adding that a thorough and structured process will be undertaken to appoint a permanent head coach aimed at bringing long-term stability to the managerial position.
