Billionaire Michael Dell Defends Wife After Online Trolls Mock Her Appearance

Billionaire businessman Michael Dell has come to the defence of his wife, Susan Dell, after she faced criticism and mockery over her appearance during a recent visit to the White House.

The couple appeared alongside US President Donald Trump in the Oval Office on October 7, 2026, to discuss their $6.25 billion donation to the Trump Accounts initiative, which aims to help 25 million American children build financial savings for the future.

However, footage and photographs from the event sparked conversations on social media, with some users focusing on Susan’s appearance rather than the couple’s philanthropic contribution.

In response to the criticism, Michael shared posts from social media users who condemned the attacks and urged people to leave his wife alone.

One of the posts he shared read, “My grandson got 250 dollars in his Trump account from Susan Dell. Please leave that woman alone.”

He also reposted a message from a parent who said their children had unexpectedly received $250 each through the initiative, adding that the family’s generosity deserved appreciation rather than criticism.

Michael subsequently shared letters, drawings and cards from children expressing gratitude to him and his wife for their contribution.

US President Donald Trump’s son, Eric Trump, also condemned the attacks on Susan, describing them as “vicious” and criticising people for focusing on her appearance despite the couple’s substantial donation.

In a post on X, Eric praised the Dells for committing $6.25 billion to fund accounts for 25 million children, describing the contribution as one of the largest private donations in American history.

He added that the attacks on Susan were unacceptable and called on the public to appreciate the couple’s philanthropic efforts.

Conservative commentator Mike Cernovich also criticised the online reaction, noting that public attention had shifted to the appearance of a 62-year-old woman instead of the family’s contribution to children’s financial futures.

The controversy has drawn attention to the online criticism Susan faced following the White House appearance, with supporters urging social media users to focus on the couple’s charitable initiative rather than personal attacks.
