An Arsenal supporter in Uganda has formally notified the club of his intention to pursue legal action, citing professional negligence, poor tactical decisions, and emotional distress.
In a “Notice of Intent to Sue” addressed to the club’s headquarters in London, the fan, identified as Kyama, described Arsenal’s recent 2–1 defeat to AFC Bournemouth as a “fundamental breach of the implied contract between the club and its global fanbase.”
He accused the players of professional negligence, alleging a “complete lack of industry” and failure to show urgency or commitment during the match.
Kyama also criticised manager Mikel Arteta, claiming he lacked the tactical capacity to lead the team and describing the overall performance as “disjointed” and “directionless.”

The supporter further argued that the club’s performance caused both emotional and financial strain, noting that fans invest significant time, money, and emotional energy in supporting the team.
He warned that unless the club issues an official response and outlines clear corrective measures, he will proceed with legal action, seeking compensation for emotional distress and diminished confidence.
The development comes amid growing pressure on Arsenal, as a string of underwhelming results threatens their chances of securing the Premier League title.
