Human rights lawyer Deji Adeyanju has expressed concern following the indefinite suspension of visa applications by the United States Embassy Abuja.
The embassy announced the decision on Thursday, April 9, just hours after issuing a travel advisory citing security concerns.
Reacting in a post on social media, Adeyanju, who resides in Abuja, questioned the development and its implications for residents of the capital.
“Are there things going to happen in Abuja that we should all be aware of?” he asked.
His comments reflect growing public unease over the embassy’s decision, which has raised questions about the security situation and the potential impact on diplomatic and consular services in Nigeria’s capital.
