All Progressives Congress (APC), Cross River State chapter has
ordered political appointees to remit 10% of their salaries to the party
with immediate effect.
The party’s Publicity Secretary, Mr Mens Ikpeme
disclosed this in a statement made available to DAILY POST on Saturday.
He said that the party held its stakeholders meeting on Friday and
highlighted payment of 10% remittance to the party and noted that the
only party member that so remitted his 10% was Mr Odey Ochicha who was
applauded by party members while others defaulted.
He said that the meeting prayed for the quick recovery of President
Mohammed Buhari, the nation and the All Progressives Congress and
emphasized on the procedure for the election of three delegates per
Local Government to the forthcoming non-elective National Convention.
“The Chairmen were advised to go back to their various chapters and
call a stake holders meeting for the election of the 3 persons as
delegates in respect of the party’s forthcoming national non- elective
congress” while new members were advised to study the party’s
constitution to be abreast with what is expected of them.
