British professional wrestler Benjamin Satterley, popularly known as PAC and formerly known as Neville in WWE, has died at the age of 40.
All Elite Wrestling (AEW) announced his death on Sunday, September 27, just a day after he competed at the promotion’s All Out event in Chicago.
Satterley faced Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National Championship in the opening match of the event. Andrade retained the title after countering PAC’s submission attempt into a pin. PAC later appeared again during the main event involving Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay.
AEW described Satterley as a native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, who began his professional wrestling career in 2004 and went on to perform for major wrestling promotions around the world.
The company said he joined AEW in 2019 and won multiple championships during his time with the promotion, including the inaugural AEW All-Atlantic Championship and two World Trios Championship reigns.
Before joining AEW, Satterley competed in WWE under the names Adrian Neville and Neville. He won the NXT Championship and became a two-time WWE Cruiserweight Champion.
Known for his high-flying wrestling style, he earned a reputation as one of the prominent British wrestlers of his generation.
AEW president Tony Khan also paid tribute to Satterley, describing him as a beloved husband and friend and praising his dedication, athleticism and contribution to professional wrestling.
The circumstances and cause of his death have not been disclosed by AEW.
