Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, the man accused of running a fictitious federal agency from the Federal Secretariat in Abuja, has stated that he is not hiding from law enforcement but fears for his life due to active threats against him.
Adeyemi is facing federal charges for allegedly forging government appointment letters and falsely parading himself as the Director-General of the non-existent “Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council” (PFIPC), as well as the Presidential Economic Advisory Council (PEAC).
Speaking during a live broadcast on Channels Television on Monday night, July 13, 2026, Adeyemi defended his absence from the public eye, claiming his safety has been severely compromised.
“I’m ready to show my face. I’m not hiding,” Adeyemi said during the current affairs program. “I’m only fearing for my life because I have it on good authority that my life is in danger. There have been several attempts on my life.”
Adeyemi did not provide specific details regarding the nature of the attempts or name the individuals he believes are targeting him.
The Presidency has repeatedly denounced the PFIPC, labeling it a complete fabrication with no legal standing or government backing.
Despite this, police investigators allege that Adeyemi and his associates managed to set up and operate the fraudulent council from the high-profile second floor of the Federal Secretariat Complex, Phase III, Abuja, prior to his arrest.
The Nigeria Police Force is now preparing to formally arraign Adeyemi and two other co-defendants before the Federal High Court in Abuja.
