The 2026/27 English Premier League season will begin with an unprecedented managerial shake-up, with nine of the 20 clubs starting the campaign under new managers.
The figure represents the highest number of pre-season managerial changes in Premier League history, setting the stage for a potentially unpredictable campaign.
Newcastle United completed the record turnover with the appointment of Matthias Jaissle, who replaced Eddie Howe. The 38-year-old German coach joins Newcastle after a successful spell with Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli, where he won major silverware.
The new Premier League campaign is scheduled to begin on Friday, August 21, when reigning champions Arsenal host newly promoted Coventry City at the Emirates Stadium.
