The National Film Institute, Jos, held its 2017/2018 matriculation ceremony yesterday 26th May, 2018 at her permanent site, Lamingo, behind JUTH, Jos, plateau State.
The occasion witnessed the matriculation of 150 degree & diploma students, where it was revealed that the Institute is affiliated to the University of Jos.
Speeches by special guests i.e Deaconess Grace Gekpe, Perm. Sec. Fed. Min. of Information; Dr. Chidia Maduekwe, Chairman, Governing Council of the Institute; the VC & Registrar, UniJos; Hon. Yakubu Dating, Commissioner, Min. of Information, p/State; & Provost of the Institute, most of whom were represented, centred on advises for the students to shun bad habits & cultism by abiding strictly to the school rules & regulations.
The provost towards the end of the ceremony informed that the Institute will soon commence offering post graduate & masters programmes in its quest for the expansion of knowledge. (Turba, Director, Admin.)
