A young Nigerian woman, Christabel Aminu, has been reportedly murdered by unknown assailants in her residence in Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State.
Details surrounding the incident remain sketchy as of press time, but sources revealed that the attackers broke into her apartment, killed her, and carted away her phone, jewelry, and other valuables.
Confirming the tragic development in a statement on Saturday, October 25, 2025, activist Ochiegbu Marvelous described Christabel’s death as a devastating loss to their community.
“We lost one of our comrades in Agbor, Delta State today. It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of one of our members, a female comrade who was tragically murdered in her home,” Marvelous wrote.
He further disclosed that a suspect was apprehended later that afternoon after allegedly attempting to sell the deceased’s phone.
“The suspect, who took her phone, was apprehended in the afternoon when he attempted to sell it. Rest in peace, our dear comrade,” he added.
The Delta State Police Command has yet to release an official statement on the incident as investigations continue to determine the motive behind the killing.
